Grow your skills - Professional short courses at the Small Woods Association

The Small Woods Association are holding short courses hedge laying and sustainable woodland management at the Green Wood Centre

All courses are taught to a high and consistent standard and accredited by the Open College Network that lead to nationally recognised qualifications.

The short courses are taught by tutors who have many years of experience and are practitioners in the areas they teach. Designed to provide the basic knowledge needed to allow paricipants to continue to practice and enhance their skills the courses are suitable for anyone wishing to improve their knowledge to a recognised standard.

Most of the courses are held at the Green Wood Centre in the beautiful Ironbridge Gorge, here are a selection of courses:

16th - 20th August
OCN Level 2 Coppice Products

4th - 5th and 18th - 19th September
Introduction to Social Forestry

27th - 29th September
OCN Level 3 Sustainable Woodland Management

4th - 8th October
OCN Level 2 Hedge Laying

9th - 10th October
OCN Level 3 Introduction to Small Woodland Management
