Spring is in the air and the Dorothy Clive Garden is coming back to life for another season

At the time of writing the following plants were already in flower: hellebores, early daffodils, camellias, new Iris reticulata cvs and masses of crocus. The garden will of course just get stronger every week from here on in, with a rising crescendo of spring flowering trees, shrubs and bulbs putting on an uplifting floral display.

Previously Senior Sous Chef of the 3AA Rosette and Michelin-starred Montague Arms in Hampshire, Birch joins Acorn Award winner and owner of the boutique hotel, Laura Penman, to re-launch Forelles restaurant for Spring 2015.

Established in 2011, the annual awards are an independently judged national scheme open to historic houses, gardens, museums and heritage sites and celebrate the very best visitor experiences.

Women in the RAF – Stars through Adversity

Date: 10 March 2015. Time: 9.30am to 3.15pm. Next month will see events all around the world celebrating International Women's Day, held on 8 March each year. This annual celebration is an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of women while calling for greater equality. This year, the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford is teaming up with the RAF for an event entitled 'Women in the RAF – Stars through Adversity'.
