Models take to the skies this weekend

The skies over Shropshire this weekend will be buzzing with hundreds of intricately detailed scale models of iconic aircraft at the annual Large Model Aircraft Rally. Taking place at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford on 28th and 29th July, this famous air show in miniature is an absolute must see for any aviation enthusiast - and with the warm sunny weather looking set to continue, what better way to enjoy the sunshine?

Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom is the place to visit this Summer with jam packed holiday events! Kicking off the summer holiday fun from Saturday 21st July until Friday 27th July is ‘Owl Week’ where you can come and meet some of our Favourite Feathered Friends. Next to come is ‘Pig Week’ from Saturday 28th July to Friday 3rd August, with ‘Meerkat Week’, ‘Fox Week’, Reptile Week’ and ‘Parrot Week’ following.

Ghosts and Ghouls Return to Blists Hill Victorian Town

Creepy crawlies, ghosts, ghouls and a spooky atmosphere will await you at the Ghostly Gaslight Halloween event at Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge, Shropshire on the evening of Saturday, 27th October. Come dressed in your most frightening costume to ward off the mischievous sprits, which will play havoc in the dark and watch out for things that go bump in the night!

Cosford turn back the clocks for 1940’s Dance

The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be turning back the clocks 70 years this October as they hold their annual 1940’s Hangar Dance. Tickets for the popular event, taking place at the Museum on Saturday 13th October have now gone on sale. This annual event transports guests back to the era of Big Bands, Jive Bunnies and Jitter-buggers with a fun packed evening of entertainment.

Ironbridge Gorge Museum's Charity Golf Day

Golfers are invited to take part in a charity golf day which will raise vital funds for the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust. The annual event takes place at Hawkstone Park on Wednesday, 3rd October. The competition welcomes teams of four players and is open to everyone. Individuals are also very welcome to take part.

FLAXMILL INSPIRED EXHIBITON OPENS AT MARKET HALL

An exhibition of artwork inspired by Shrewsbury’s historic Flaxmill is now open to the public at Shrewsbury Market Hall. The Friends of the Flaxmill Maltings Touring Exhibition will be at the Visual Art Network gallery until July 28. The exhibit is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, between 10am and 4pm.
