Women in aviation half term at Cosford

This May half term the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be celebrating the achievements made by women in aviation. From Monday 26th to Friday 30th May there will be a free trail for children to take part in, based around the pioneering women that have helped shape aviation history. Open 10am - 4pm, FREE entry.

Women in the RAF – Stars through Adversity

Date: 10 March 2015. Time: 9.30am to 3.15pm. Next month will see events all around the world celebrating International Women's Day, held on 8 March each year. This annual celebration is an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of women while calling for greater equality. This year, the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford is teaming up with the RAF for an event entitled 'Women in the RAF – Stars through Adversity'.

Wood craftsmen demonstrate their skills at Dudmaston Woodland Skills Day and Fungi Walk

Join us at Dudmaston on Sunday 25 September and meet the craftsmen that turn a block of wood into a thing of beauty. Watch our Ranger team as they demonstrate ancient and modern wood working techniques from traditional hand worked pole lathing to current milling machines. Woodland Spring Walk

Mucklestone Nurseries & Business Centre, a specialist plant nursery with an adjoining business centre, owned by William & Louise Friend, is hosting a local walk in ancient woodland as part of their annual 'Woodland Spring Walk' for the local community on Sunday 4th May 2014 from 1pm omwards.

With a Missing Mascot Trail running over the Easter bank holiday weekend and two craft activities on offer during the week, children of all ages are sure to have a ‘cracking’ time.

‘Great British Bake Off’ contestant headlines at Cosford Food Festival

Organisers at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford are delighted to be welcoming ‘The Great British Bake Off’ contestant Beca Lyne-Pirkis to this year’s Cosford Food Festival. Beca who took part in the popular TV show in 2013 will be headlining on the demo stage both days at the 23rd-24th July event, showcasing her modern twists on family favourites.
